Spoiled Dogs Eat Cheesecake! Tasty, Easy, and Dog Friendly Recipe
Don’t you just love sharing tasty treats with your dog? Certainly on special occasions or holidays, you can find most dog parents giving little nibbles of decadent “human food” to their furry loved ones. When it comes to cakes, there’s not a lot of options to give your pup. Too much sugar and not in the least bit nutritious. It’s just sad to see your dog’s face so full of hope, licking their lips, just thinking that they will get some birthday cake, and then you chomp down onto the last bite for yourself. There is a better way: bake a cake for your dog (and puppy friends too!).
Cheesecake is straight up delicious! We made a version that is more healthful and canine friendly. It’s made with ingredients most cooks keep in their kitchens, and, with the use of a muffin pan, they are the perfect size for your furry loved ones!
Dog-Friendly Cheesecake Recipe
-Preheat oven to 350

Crust:
1.5 Cups Oats
.5 Cups Unsweetened Shredded Coconut
1 TSP Cinnamon
1 TSP Honey
1 Egg
2 TBSP Melted Coconut Oil
-Place oats and shredded coconut in a food processor. Pulse until everything is a consistent
size. Add all other crust ingredients and pulse again. Spoon crust mixture into muffin pan and press down firmly. Bake for 10 minutes, remove from the oven, and let cool.
Filling:

1 Egg
3 TBSP Coconut Milk
1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
2 Cups Low-Fat Cottage Cheese
1 Cup Low-Fat Greek Yogurt
3 TBSP Whole Wheat Flour
-Place cottage cheese in a food processor and pulse until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and pulse until smooth. Pour on top of cooled crusts, fill to the top, as it does not raise much during baking. Bake for 20-25 minutes, let cool, and refrigerate.

My family and I enjoyed these with my dog. They taste like unsweetened cheesecake, so we top it with a dollop of strawberry syrup for the humans.
Enjoy!
With Love,
Lily the Dog Mama
