Inclement Weather Policies and Procedures

 

We are rain or shine dog walkers. We understand that most dogs are happy to get outside for their walks, regardless of what may or may not be falling from the sky.

That being said, if the weather is creating an unsafe situation or your pup is uncomfortable, we don’t walk. We are happy to play with your pup indoors and help them run their energy out, or cuddle if they need some extra love to survive a scary thunderstorm.

Please Note:

On inclement weather days, we may have to adjust visit times to be earlier or later than usual to ensure the safety of our staff and the animals that we serve. We may have an alternate Animal Care Specialist arrive instead of your usual person. Please contact us for any questions or concerns via call/text at 719-426-0333 or email at MamaWalksDogs@gmail.com. You need to leave a voicemail as we need to be even more focused on safety during bad weather.

Normally, we charge a $10 cancellation fee if you cancel on the same day of service. This fee is waived if you need to cancel due to bad weather. We would never dream of charging you for advocating for your furry loved one(s).

We live in Colorado where winters can be unpredictable. If your dog does not have a cold weather jacket and you are unable to provide one due to finances, transportation access, etc., please reach out to us and we will see what we can do to help.
