Do you provide poop bags?
Yes! We are passionate about keeping Colorado a clean, safe place to walk our dogs, so we always are ready to scoop the poop.
Can you walk my dog with a prong collar?
We do not walk dogs with a prong collar, choke chain, or use any shock/vibration collars. We walk all dogs, big and small, regardless if they pull. If the pulling is causing you pup to wheeze or becomes unsafe, we will advise switching to a harness for future services.
Do you only work with dogs?
Nope! Walking dogs is our passion, but we also provide care for other furry and feathered critters. Sorry! No reptiles or spiders at this time.
Can I get my key dropped off after every visit?
Of course you can! Most of our clients have us keep a key on file for future visits, but we'd be happy to get your key returned each time. The first key pickup/drop-off is free. Every other time it is a $10 fee.
Do you provide same day scheduling?
We do our best to fulfil all service requests, but are unable to guarantee that we can accept same day requests. If we are able to help with your same day request, we do NOT charge any additional fees.
How do holidays work with Mama Walks Dogs?
We are available to provide service 365 days a year. On the following holidays we charge a $10 holiday fee:

What is a Care Plan Meeting?
This is your opportunity to meet with us, introduce us to your furry loved ones, and share with us your needs and desires. This is usually the first time we get together, and this meeting is FREE!
Many companies call this a "Meet N Greet," but we believe that words matter. We are doing more than just meeting you and doing business together; we are creating a plan to ensure the health and welfare of your furry babies.
What is your cancellation policy?
We only charge a $10 cancellation fee if you cancel on the day of services. This fee is often waived in case of bad weather or illness. Life happens! We won't penalize you for something out of your control.
Can I schedule at a precise time?
We schedule all our services in a time window. This allows us the flexibility to assist all the varied schedules that many of our clients have. Early mornings and late evenings are scheduled with a 3 hour window, but all other scheduling is available with 2 hour scheduling windows.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes! We work hard to offer high quality, competitively priced services to all of our clients. For those we schedule 3 or more visits per week, expect a 5% discount. Our veterans, active duty service members, first responders, aged 65+, foster pet parents, and expecting parents receive an additional 5% off.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept credit and debit card payments through our online Client Portal. If you'd like to pay with cash or check, you can leave the payment on the counter or mail it to us at:

Please keep in mind that we charge a $35 bounced check fee and a $10 late payment fee.
Do you work with aggressive dogs?
It depends. If your dog exhibits signs of aggression to other dogs, not living in your home, then, most of the time, yes.
Every situation is unique and we have to make an individual assessment for each case to ensure the safety of the dogs we care for and our staff.

What is Vacation Care?
Most companies call this service "Pet Sitting."
We do more than just feed your dogs and lock the door. We check for any accidents or messes, damage from wind or snow storms, bring in packages, care for the physical and mental wellbeing of your fur-kids, and more.
How do you discipline dogs?
We use positive reinforcement only.
The majority of the time redirecting a dog's behavior is all that's needed. Other times we look at the environment and try to figure out how to set each dog up for success.
